Finding a reputable Twin Cities Metro/St. Paul Area Sign and Graphics Company

Let's Start A Conversation:

8/6/2021

Sign. It’s a small word, but have you ever thought about what goes into making a decision about signage (and I’ll include graphics in the mix as well, since they can serve multiple purposes)? If you’ve ever been given the responsibility for sourcing signage, it can be a daunting experience.

Type of Signage Buyers in the St. Paul And Twin Cities Metro Area

At Image360, we see three categories of sign and graphics clients:

  1. Individual Business – who may be start-ups, moving into a new location, expanding, remodeling or rebranding.  Their needs can include anything from exterior signage, lobby signage, ADA signage and Room ID signage, all the way to graphics or custom displays ad everything in between.
  2. Facilities managers (commercial real estate and property managers, hospitals, medical offices, office complexes, etc.) tend to source signage more frequently as they may be managing multiple sites or have frequent changes due to tenant changeover or general businesses need in the facilities under their responsibility. Facilities Managers have a whole host of ongoing signage needs that can include regulatory, wayfinding signage and environmental signage.
  3. Lastly, organizations or event oriented planners with unique, ore short term signage needs – this can include restaurants, hotels, caterer, banquet halls, golf courses, schools and independent event planners as well as people who are planning events like parades, fundraisers, reunions, anniversaries, or other celebrations.  It runs the gamut!

Finding a local partner in Signage and Graphics

So where do you (and they) begin when those signage and graphics needs come up?

Reputable sign companies should be visible in their communities and present themselves in a professional manner.  Owners and employees are typically involved in various Chambers of Commerce, Trade Associations, and other professional associations.  They will also have an on-line presence with websites and social media profiles that highlight their work and capabilities as well as provide client reviews and testimonials.  No matter what you buy, it’s nice to hear from others who have had experience with the company and its products or services.  Don’t be afraid to reach out to member associations for advice as well as to do your online research!

Next, look for a company that will form a relationship with you.  Whether you need all of these products and services on an on ongoing basis or just once, you want to work with someone that you can trust and who will be there when needs arise or, in the event of a problem.  If your signage partner understands your business/organization needs, they can be a valuable resource for making suggestions that are both impactful and cost effective.

If there is one thing that I’ve learned over the years, it’s that there are many ways to build a sign that has the same message.  Your local sign and graphics company will be able to offer different material solutions based on your needs and your budget.  They should also be good stewards of your financial needs.  What I mean here is that we have all experienced the ups and downs of financial management at our own company.  As business owners, we should be mindful of making our clients successful – even at the expense of telling them when an investment in signs or graphics for a particular space or intent aren’t a god use of their working capital.  Yes, that means that we may not sell that sign.  And that’s OK.  The longer your clients are healthy and in business, the more opportunities you will have to work together.  Business is about the long haul and not the quick buck.   It’s about relationships.

Here at Image360-Woodbury, we hope to be all of these things and more to our clients.  We appreciate the opportunity to learn more about you and your business – and maybe work together along the way!
